Lt Col (Retd) Anil Dubey

Lt Col (Retd) Anil Dubey -“ A Heart Always Yearning for Adventure”

Born in Jammu & Kashmir, Anil has great love and fascination for mountains. With initial schooling at Sainik School Nagrota in the foothills of Vaishno Devi, he joined Indian Army and served more than 20 years in The Corps of Engineers.

 

  • He was member of Army Engineers expedition to Karakoram ranges and Rimo group of virgin peaks in 1984.

 

  • Call of mountains again came in 1986. He participated in the Army Engineers Expedition to Gangotri I,II and Rudugaira in Garwal Himalayas. This team was led by Lt Col Hem Lohumi , supported by mountaineering veterans like Gopal Sharma. He had great opportunity to be part of the summit team to Gangotri 1 peak (6672m).

 

  • In 1989 participated in Corps of Engineers challenging expedition to MamostongKangri 7516m (Mountain of Thousand Devils) in Leh-LadakhHimlayas.

 

Anil is proud to be part of the die-hard veterans’ team for Mission Atulya Ganga.

At present based at Muscat, Sultanate of Oman.
