Colonel Prithvi Chauhan (retired), a fifth generation army man, is an alumni of the National Defence Academy and was commissioned in the Indian Army on 09 jun 1990.

Personal Gallantry
Prithvi has served in J&K at the line of control at Poonch and fought the insurgency at various places in the state till he was wounded and disabled in 1996 and awarded twice for gallantry. He has also served in disturbed states like Assam, Manipur and Nagaland.
Prithvi the farmer
After serving gloriously for 28 years, Prithvi took premature retirement in 2018, at the age of 49. He is based at his ancestral village in Haryana tending his ancestral lands.
Family tradition of valour
In keeping with his family’s tradition of the eldest born joining the Army, his elder daughter was recently married to a Captain in the armoured corps.
He is a keen biker, has biked in various countries and all over India.
