I Kamal Kant Sharma an ordinary citizen of India living a normal life with kids and family, in 2018 july all of sudden got to know my mitral valve is leaking it has to be replaced by artificial valve on 6 july 2018 I had a major open heart surgery and I was on the bed and care for three months this whole incident has change my life totally. Everyone in the family and friends were worried when I got infection, after the 6 months of surgery I went to Dehradoon while sitting in the restaurant I saw the poster trek to Nagtibba Peak it is a very moderate trek for the beginners I registered myself for the trek on 7 January 2019 I started the trek and I have done it. It was the time I felt from inside that I am fit and fine by mind, body & soul. Then I started cycling motivated by my family they all are from sports background on my first anniversary of my open heart surgery I have done first 100 Kms (Century Ride) ride, on 2nd done a 200 Kms after that never look back 100, 200, 300, 600 Kms and three times golden triangle and got my name in India Book of Records. In December 2020 I have done G2G India gate to Gateway of India 1,460 Kms in 144 Hrs on my MTB Cycle. In January 2023 I have also done TATA Mumbai Half Marathon. It was also attempt for Guinness World Record Book, but due to corona pandemic observer not able to come, unofficially I have done it for myself. Now I use to travel frequently on treks and motivate youngsters to quit smoking & drugs and use to go to the hospitals to share my experience to the people who are going through major surgeries. To make them feel that life don’t stop after major surgeries don’t give up. Recently I got the chance to ride with Atulya Ganga Trust (Group of Army Veterans) who served their whole life for the country now taken an initiative to revive the rivers going dead due to pollution, mining, industrial chemicals unauthorized constructions on the banks of the rivers. It’s a noble cause they doing for the upcoming generations so I am feeling proud to be the part of this movement.
Where there is will there is a way.
